Exhitions in SAM

Time flies.This week is fivth week already.This time we are sent to do a visit in Singapore Art Museum(SAM).With student card we can get an entry for free.(●'◡'●)our task is to find 7 exhitions in SAM and talk about three materials that it used.

So this boat is the first exhition i met.I treated it as the ordinary boat model at the first sight,however,it is totally made of transport cargo boxes and a few wood.It is quite interesting and creative to make this huge boat model this way.

The second exhition i chose was seen in a dark room while they were glittering.According to the introduction these flowers are actually a brand new species of mechanized sentient creatures.They often attach themselves on some surfaces in factory machinery rooms,basements of old buildings and colourful neon signs in places with high human population desity ,by moving their hard mouthes they can collect city energy in the air and provide pulsating clusters of light as they communicate with one another.As for the materials used,they are metal machinery,CPU board,motor,LEDs and polycarbonate.

The third art work presents three artists'hope for a new beginning and a new future.Using plaster of paris to make the feet and the sunflowers depicted give the artists strengh to face the future.

I picked this part from a full-filled artwork wall as my forth choice.I feel like these two  skeletons made of shiny metal are telling a love story and those surrounding flowers made of ceramics make this scene more beatiful.

Another artwork from that wall.In my imagination,the big rock represents a planet,three metal tubes are a part of cool appearance of this planet ，a man with his dog made of ceramics living in this planet and they may just wandering if there are other creatures in the universe.

Well,another boat but different from the previous one!It comprises a wooden boat with a set of unfired clay bones placed within its hull.People learnt from the fusiform shape of the whale and the whale's spine to make the shape and the keel of the boat .And these experience even inherit and used globally to make the modest fishing boat nowadays.

Last one i chose might just because the chinese in the art work which means tomorrow will be better.Generally, it is made of ceramics only but the decorative design also need lots of effort behind .It shows a hope for tomorrow.
